HOME’s 20th Anniversary — Help Us Continue the Work!

This campaign, which begins on 8 December 2024, has been approved by the Tote Board under the Enhanced Fundraising programme, where your donations will be matched dollar for dollar.  As HOME is an IPC-registered charity, your donations will qualify for 250% tax deductions!

Founded in 2004, HOME has achieved the following milestones over the past 20 years:

  • Welfare assistance to over 40,000 migrant workers;

  • Provided temporary housing to more than 10,000 migrant workers in crisis through our shelter;

  • Empowered and equipped close to 20,000 migrant workers with skills through HOME Academy;

  • Advocated for migrant worker rights, publishing a total of 17 research reports and position papers and collaboratively achieving policy change, particularly with the Day Off campaign for domestic workers.

As one of the very few non-government organisations providing direct services to migrant workers in crisis, we maintain a shelter that supports up to 500  migrant women a year, and operate multiple help desks across Singapore to provide advice and casework support. However, with rising operational costs, our monthly expenses have grown substantially.  To sustain our core services, built on the pillars of Welfare, Empowerment, and Advocacy, we are launching a digital campaign to raise essential funds.

With increased funding, we can continue to sustain our shelter—despite rising rental costs— and strengthen the casework and legal support provided at our helpdesks.

Your support will also enable us to expand our vocational training programs through HOME Academy, empowering migrant workers with new skills, and enhance community outreach and mental health support through HOME Family.

Additionally, we aim to broaden our advocacy efforts by advancing our #RestDayAllDay campaign and push for a ban on lorry transport, as well as a focus on access to remedy for migrant workers. These efforts include public education initiatives and communication materials to effect positive change.

Every contribution matters. Your generosity will make a tangible difference in the lives of our migrant friends, ensuring they receive the care, support, and opportunities they deserve.

Donate now and join us in celebrating 20 years of service—while committing to many more years of championing migrant worker rights!
